2,000 pairs of new socks collected for Denver's Road Home[WMSCOG]
The World Mission Society Church of God, in partnership with Denvers Road Home, conducted a sock drive on January 29th, from 1-4pm, at the 16th Street Mall in Downtown Denver (on Court Place and 16th St near the World Trade Center). With the community's support, 2000 pairs of warm new socks will be provided to those who lack this basic necessity. 100% of all socks were presented to Denvers Road Home on Friday, February 3rd.
Earlier in the morning, 110 members from the World Mission Society Church of God participated in a cleanup in Skyline Park in 16th Street Mall. According to Tina Meyers, Program Coordinator for Volunteers at Denver Parks and Recreation, we contributed 310 manhours, which saved the city of Denver $6322.18.
