Today, there are people who call themselves "Orthodox" while worshiping on Sunday which is not based on the Bible and distorting the truth by claiming that "Jesus did not keep the Sabbath day" with regard to the verse indicating that Jesus observed the Sabbath day. Yet, they overlook one thing: if they misinterpret the verse regarding the Sabbath day kept by Jesus as "Jesus did not keep the Sabbath", they lose the slightest opportunity to justify the "Sunday service" they observe.
First, let's see the verse about the Sabbath day observed by Jesus.
He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. And he stood up to read. (Luke 4:16)
About the above Verse, they distort the truth by saying: "At first glance, it seems that Jesus kept the Sabbath day. However, if you read it carefully once more, you will find that there is no word "observe." The Bible says, "On the Sabbath day, Jesus went into the synagogue to read the Bible." Can we understand it today as ‘Jesus observed the Sabbath day?’”
They insist that it's not about keeping the Sabbath day since there is no direct expression "observe". Then, let's apply their logic to the Sunday service the same way. Are there any verses indicating Jesus kept the Sunday service? At least, are they any record that Jesus went into the synagogue to read the Bible? They must first provide the ground for the Sunday service before they argue about the Sabbath day. They distort the truth by claiming that the Sabbath day was not observed although there is a record of keeping the Sabbath day. I wonder on what ground they keep the Sunday service. Isn’t it strange?
The word "custom" is the translation of the Greek word "ἔθω (εἰωθὸς)", which means "custom, common practice or ritual." In other words, we can confirm that the Sabbath day is a day observed as a custom, common practice or ritual. Of course, since the Sabbath day is one of God's Commandments, it can be also called "as his custom was or as he did as usual." It's because Jesus observed the Sabbath day as his custom was or as he did as usual.
Why do they diligently keep the Sunday service which was not kept by Jesus without considering observing the Sabbath day kept by Jesus? Believing in God with lips only; the demons also do. The demons also believe in God (James 2:19), the demons also acknowledged Jesus as the Lord (Matthew 8:29), and even the evil spirit said he knew Jesus (Acts 19:15.) If we get salvation as long as we believe without action, it can be also said that the demons and evil spirits who are destined to be destroyed will be saved. The difference between the devils who are destined to be destroyed and the Christians who will be saved depends on whether or not to do according to the words of God.

Heavenly citizenship for those doing the Father's will_2
If we have the citizenship of heaven, we ought to hear what God says. Now, let's see if we obey God's word as heavenly citizens, considering what are the requirements for the heavenly citizenship.
Ex 20:8 "Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy."
First, citizens of heaven ought to keep the Sabbath day. Those who do not keep the Sabbath cannot acquire the citizenship of heaven. When they stand before Jesus at the last day, they will beg Him to let them into heaven, saying, "Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name pray and drive out demons, and help the poor?" However, Jesus will turn His face away from them, saying, "I never knew you."
"Show Me your citizenship of heaven. Do you know the reason why I have not granted you heavenly citizenship? Have you ever kept the Sabbath holy?" If God asks them such stern questions, what will they answer?
God said, "My sheep listen to my voice" (Jn 10:27). How can they acquire the heavenly citizenship without obeying even a single command of God-"Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy"? So Jesus told them plainly, "I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!"
"Show Me your citizenship of heaven. Do you know the reason why I have not granted you heavenly citizenship? Have you ever kept the Sabbath holy?" If God asks them such stern questions, what will they answer?

Second, heavenly citizens ought to celebrate the Passover.
Lk 22:14-20 And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, "This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me." In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you."
The Bible teaches us that we can receive the forgiveness of our sins only by celebrating the Passover. So God has established the Passover, saying, "This [Passover] is for you." It is a qualification for the citizenship of heaven to celebrate the Passover.
If a man commits a crime, he will forfeit his rights of citizenship at once and be punished according to his country's Criminal Procedure Code. So did we. We committed an unpardonable sin in heaven, and were cast down to the earth. We lost our heavenly citizenship and forfeited all of our rights as citizens in heaven.
Christ, however, came into this earth to forgive all our sins by shedding His blood and tearing His flesh. For the mortal sinners, He opened the way to the forgiveness of sins through the Passover of the new covenant. That's why we have come to reinstate our heavenly citizenship.
So the Bible says, "Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances" (1 Th 5:16-18). When our faith becomes weak, we can neither rejoice, nor give thanks, nor understand why God has given those words to us. Think of our heavenly citizenship! Christ died for us, so that we might have the forgiveness of sins and the citizenship of heaven. How joyful and how grateful! No matter how difficult our lives may be, we must endure in order to avoid going to hell, a place of eternal punishment. God has granted us, sinners, the citizenship of heaven. Whatever difficulties we face, we are supposed to be joyful and thankful.
Here is one more necessary condition for the heavenly citizenship-knowing God's name and celebrating God's feasts such as the Sabbath and the Passover. To obtain American citizenship, people have to know its president's name. How much more should we know the name of God to acquire the heavenly citizenship! Can we obtain it without knowing God's name? God said, "My people will know my name" (Isa 52:6).
The citizenship of heaven can be acquired when we always live in Zion, know God and obey everything He has commanded us. We have the heavenly citizenship granted by God. Let us take pride in our citizenship in heaven. God has given us the Passover and let us know what the Savior's name is; and He clearly said to us, "You are My people."

What we are to do now is to help all the peoples of the world ac-quire the citizenship of heaven. They do not know the way to obtain it.
When I first went to America for the gospel work, I was at a loss as to how to act. Some put themselves out trying to help me, and I felt so thankful to them for their help. People naturally express their thanks to him who teaches them what they do not know, even though it is a little thing. How much more will they give thanks to him who helps them know the way to acquire the eternal citizenship of heaven! In heaven they will ever be deeply grateful to him for his help.
When we go back to the glorious kingdom of heaven, we will enjoy the powerful privileges of heavenly citizenship. Many people, who have not obeyed God's commands, will entreat God to let them in before the heaven's gate. However, Christ will sternly say to them, "I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!" What about us all in Zion? We shall all enter heaven's gate safely. For heaven is our home and our country.
Giving thanks to God who has given us such a great blessing, let us help numerous people who are longing for the heavenly citizenship. From the east to the west, let's preach the gospel diligently. I hope all our brothers and sisters in Zion will bear much fruit through God's grace and love.

Who Are the Righteous?
Elohim God[The Spirit and the Bride] let us know who we are. We are destined to die because of heavenly sins. Therefore we should obey the words of God according to the bible for going back to kingdom of heaven.
Who Are the Righteous? Innumerable people around the world claim to believe in God. However, God says that there is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who does good, not even one.
Ro 3:10-12 "As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one; there is ... no one who seeks God. ... there is no one who does good, not even one."
Who is a righteous one whom God approves? The Bible says that there is no one who seeks God and comes near to Him except the righteous.
Adam, the ancestor of mankind, sought God and came near to Him before he sinned. But after he committed sin by eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, he hid himself from God when He called him, "Adam, Adam!" rather than came to Him, saying, "Yes, here am I." From that moment he sinned, he became afraid of God and shrunk from His presence. Since Adam committed sin, his heart was changed.
A righteous person obeys the word of God
If we feel alienated from God, we should recognize that we are gradually falling away from righteousness and should turn ourselves to it. Through the account of Noah, let's see how we can become righteous and what we must do to become righteous.
Ge 6:9 "This is the account of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God."
Let's find out why Noah was called righteous and blameless by God, through his works.
Heb 11:7-10 "By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that comes by faith. By faith Abraham, ... he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God."
What did Noah, a righteous man, do? He realized God's plan of judging the world in those days, and prepared an ark in obedience to God's command. By faith Noah built the ark, so he was called a righteous man and an heir of righteousness.
All who were called righteous and forefathers of faith like Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, had absolute faith in God and obeyed whatever God told them to do.
All who were called righteous and forefathers of faith like Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, had absolute faith in God and obeyed whatever God told them to do.
With absolute faith in God, Noah built the ark to save his family and the world. That was the most righteous thing in God's sight and caused him to be called an heir of righteousness.
Jas 2:17-26 "In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. ... You foolish man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless? ... You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. ... As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead"
The book of James shows us what is righteousness in God's sight. God considers it a righteous act to fully obey His word, not just to know it.
We, too, have faith in God: We believe that He will gather the 144,000 and lead the people of the new covenant into the everlasting kingdom. We try to do God's will by fully keeping all His laws and diligently carrying out our ministry of preaching the gospel, loving God with all our heart and with all our soul and with all our mind. When we thus put our faith into action, God calls us 'righteous.' The righteous are those who obey God's word; they are perfect in God's sight.
Just as Noah and Abraham were called righteous, so the 144,000 are now called righteous. It is because they truly believe God's word and also put it into practice.
Though a man knows and believes that 'the Sabbath is right,' unless he observes it he cannot be blessed; only by keeping the Sabbath holy, he can receive the blessing God has promised. Likewise, if a man just believes that 'the Passover is right,' how can he receive God's blessing? Only when he celebrates the Passover by eating the bread and drinking the wine, he can receive the blessing of eternal life and the seal of God.

To those who distort the Sabbath day observed by Jesus[WMSCOG,God the Mother]
Today, there are people who call themselves "Orthodox" while worshiping on Sunday which is not based on the Bible and distorting the truth by claiming that "Jesus did not keep the Sabbath day" with regard to the verse indicating that Jesus observed the Sabbath day. Yet, they overlook one thing: if they misinterpret the verse regarding the Sabbath day kept by Jesus as "Jesus did not keep the Sabbath", they lose the slightest opportunity to justify the "Sunday service" they observe.
First, let's see the verse about the Sabbath day observed by Jesus.

Choose the path of life[Christ Ahnsahnghong]
Elohim God have made us known the path of life to save our souls.
You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand. (Psalms 16:11)
But, the problem is that there is also a path that leads us to death. Moreover, the path of death seems right to a man.
There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death. (Proverbs 14:12)
It's not easy to tell from the path of life from the path of death with our common sense. For this reason, God said that we must forsake our own thoughts and obey God's thoughts.
Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon. "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:7-9)
Then, what is the way of life God has showed us?
This is what the LORD says: "Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But you said, 'We will not walk in it.' (Jeremiah 6:16)
Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first [the first works: KJV]. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place. (Revelation 2:5)
Keeping and following the teachings that Jesus granted us at first -- it is the path of life. Some claim, "Isn't it better to celebrate Christmas than not to celebrate any day although it was the birthday of sun-god?” Others think it's better to keep Sunday rather than to keep Saturday which is the Sabbath day because most people rest on Sunday and more people can come to God. There are also people that it doesn't matter to erect a cross because they remember the sacrifice of Christ whenever they see the cross although it was once used as an execution tool and it was even used as a symbol of pagan religion.
But, there are no verses in the Bible which indicate that Jesus was born on December 25th, which specify that the Sabbath was changed to Sunday, or which teach us to erect the cross. The teaching Jesus taught originally and showed us as an example is the new covenant including the Sabbath day and the Passover.
Please do not forget the words of God: "There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads us to death." Any other gospel that deviates from the path of life is mere the path of death whatever people make any excuses. We should forsake our thoughts and acknowledge the ancient path is the good way, and then repent and do the first works: it's the path of life.

he will of God or the command of an emperor? _ World Mission Society Church of God

Even new Christians commonly know the Ten Commandments. The fourth commandment of the Ten is “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.” However today, nearly all churches keep Sunday, the first day of the week, as the Lord’s Day instead of Saturday, the seventh day. Some even make illogical claims and absurd arguments such as “every day is the Sabbath day” or “Sunday is the seventh day.”
2,000 years ago, not only Jesus and his disciples but also the apostles and saints of the Early Church did not submit to Sunday Legislation enacted by a Roman Emperor and kept the Sabbath day to the end even though they were persecuted and martyred. They stuck to their noble faith while fleeing into the desert and mountains lest their religious purity should be trampled. But many people followed the Sunday Law of the Emperor. They threw away the Sabbath day of Jesus like an old shoe and kept the Sunday service. In return, they were given considerable power from the Roman Emperor.
Whose command should we follow? Will you obey the will of God whatever people say while expecting the kingdom of heaven? Or, will you submit to the command of the Emperor and continue to make vain efforts by keeping the Sunday service?
Are you still walking the opposite way to the will of God in accordance with the command of the specter of a Ruler who cried out for Sunday? Or, are you living a faith life in a vegetative state due to the influence of large churches and spineless denominations which have continuously repeated the division and unification according to the interests of people. If you are living a life of such lukewarm faith, how about leaving the contaminated church in search of the truth?
You will have to think a lot which faith will be considered to be obedient to the will of God, and reflect on the goal of your faith. Then, you will be able to realize the fact that the Sabbath day and the Passover should be kept according to the will of God.

Sunday was kept because collections (offerings) were made on the first day of every week? _ WMSCOG
Now about the collection for God's people: Do what I told the Galatian churches to do. On the first day of every week (Every Sunday: GNT), each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with his income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made. (1 Corinthians 16:1-2)
I feel pity for their efforts to find evidence of the Sunday service which is not found on the Bible. First, the above verse is not a record of worshiping on Sundays and giving offerings. The Apostle Paul said, “When I come no collections will have to be made (KJV: There be no gatherings when I come).” If it had been a regular collection, it should have been made whether the Apostle Paul came or not, shouldn’t it? If fact, the collection mentioned above was a special offering for helping out the Jerusalem Church.
There is no need for me to write to you about this service to the saints… So I thought it necessary to urge the brothers to visit you in advance and finish the arrangements for the generous gift [KJV: bounty] you had promised. Then it will be ready as a generous gift, not as one grudgingly given… This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God's people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. (2 Corinthians 9:1-12)
It’s wrong to insist that it’s evidence that the Sunday service was kept by citing the verse which is not about a regular offering but a special offering. In addition, it’s also not a record of worshiping on the first day of every week. On the contrary, it proves that they worked on the first day of every week. It’s written, “On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with his income (GNT: Every Sunday each of you must put aside some money, in proportion to what you have earned).” It means that they must put aside some money, in proportion to what they have earned on Sunday. To earn money on the first day of the week, they must have worked on Sundays, mustn’t they? In other words, the verse of matter means that they must put aside some money earned on the first day of every week in advance not to be in hurry to collect the special offering when the Apostle Paul comes.
However, those who try to find evidence of the Sunday service in any way claim that ‘collections (offerings)’ were made on the ‘first day of every week’ by extracting only the two phrases ‘collections’ and ‘the first day of every week.’ How strange their way of interpretation is! I suppose that they cannot see the Sabbath recorded about 135 times in the Bible (80 times in the Old Testament and 55 times in the New Testament) because they read the Bible in such a strange way.
Evidence of God’s children _ World Mission Society Church of God
“Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘These are my appointed feasts, the appointed feasts of the LORD, which you are to proclaim as sacred assemblies. ” ‘There are six days when you may work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest, a day of sacred assembly. You are not to do any work; wherever you live, it is a Sabbath to the LORD… (Leviticus 23:2-3)
“Say to the Israelites, ‘You must observe my Sabbaths. This will be a sign between me and you [God and God's people] for the generations to come, so you may know that I am the LORD, who makes you holy. ” ‘Observe the Sabbath, because it is holy to you. Anyone who desecrates it must be put to death; whoever does any work on that day must be cut off from his people… (Exodus 31:13-14)
I [God] gave them my decrees and made known to them my laws, for the man who obeys them will live by them. Also I gave them my Sabbaths as a sign between us, so they would know that I the LORD made them holy. (Ezekiel 20:11-12)
Those who do not keep the Sabbath day profane God, which is the evidence of false prophets.
Her priests do violence to my law and profane my holy things; they do not distinguish between the holy and the common; they teach that there is no difference between the unclean and the clean; and they shut their eyes to the keeping of my Sabbaths [they ignore the Sabbath: GNT], so that I am profaned among them. (Ezekiel 22:26)
Do you have evidence that you are the children of God?
