But the greatest of these is love - Christ Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother

For Christians, the ultimate goal of faith is salvation. To achieve this goal, the hope of the kingdom of heaven and faith based on such hope are needed. In addition, the practice of faith is the love toward God and neighbors. Therefore, love is possible only when there are the hope of the kingdom of heaven and faith behind it. God considered love as the greatest virtue of believers.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
(1 Corinthians 13:13)
Then, can those who have love only achieve the goal of salvation? The answer is ‘No.’ The Apostle John emphasized faith as of the most importance to get salvation.
that whoever believes in him may have eternal life. (John 3:15)
However, it’s hard to reach salvation with faith alone. Today’s Christians fall in this error. An expression of faith requires the hope of the kingdom of heaven.
so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life. (Titus 3:7)
That is, we cannot enter the kingdom of heaven without having the hope of eternal life. ‘The greatest of these are love,’ ‘whoever believes in him may have eternal life,’ ‘we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life’: Among these words, what should we follow to get salvation? Since the greatest is love, is it enough to have love alone? Or, is it okay to have only faith since it’s written, ‘whoever believes in him may have eternal life’?
We must think about organic combination among faith, hope and love. If faith and hope are missing from love, it’s not different from the one who eats sodium (Na) and chlorine (Cl) after separating salt (NaCl) into each element (Na and Cl.) When edible salt is divided into sodium and chlorine, they become harmful materials. Therefore, we can achieve the goal of salvation by practicing love based on faith and hope.
In addition, there is one thing we should remember: Love toward God must be go first with regard to the practice of love. Loving neighbors based on such love is the whole duty of Christians.
Jesus replied: ” ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” (Matthew 22:37-40)
Are there any Christians who do not love God? However, love with lips only is not love which loves God.
If you love me, you will obey what I command. (John 14:15)
Salvation begins with obeying God’s commandments. Obeying what God commanded enables us to love Him and is the top priority of believers who wish to enter the kingdom of heaven.

Christ Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother taught us how to love neighbor deeply through God's commandments. Thus, World Mission Society Church of God practice these God's teachings by keeping God's commandments.

[USA] CLEAN WORLD CAMPAIGN AT PLUMB BEACH_ World Mission Society Church of God

Plumb-Beach-2-12-12
World Mission Society Church of God in USA
This spring the World Mission Society Church of God in New York launched its Good Samaritan Movement aimed at changing the world one volunteer service at a time.
Now as part of the Movement and as we prepare for the Passover Feast of God, more than one hundred volunteers united to participate in the Clean World Campaign at Plumb Beach. On the same day, churches of God around the world cleaned up in their regions. That’s more than one thousand locations in over 150 countries cleaning up the whole world at one time.
That Sunday morning, volunteers arrived at Plumb Beach in Brooklyn dressed in bright yellow shirts and green vests. Seeing filth covering a beautiful beach, they knew there was a lot of work to be done. Once a popular beach, Plum is now a site for abandoned boats and garbage that washes up ashore and the sand is littered with broken shells.
One volunteer came across a large wrecked motor boat that he clearly could not move on his own. A loud call for “Brothers” was heard and what seemed impossible for one person to accomplish became possible when about a dozen volunteers worked in unity to remove the boat. Several other boats were removed from the beach in the same fashion.
Other volunteers formed assembly lines to carry piles of heavy garbage off shore. One by one the Church of God volunteers’ efforts became a testament to the power of unity.
Don Riepe, Director of the American Littoral Society, who has witnessed the work of the Church of God for years now, commented, “You all are going to make a believer out of me. We could have never done this without all of you!”
The reality is that volunteers always rely on the power of God to carry out all of our community service efforts – big and small. As we continue to carry out volunteer activities, we hope to follow the example of Christ, who has already come a second time and keep the Teachings of Heavenly Mother so that others will come to realize God.

Child’s Pain - Heavenly Mother

I received a call from my child’s school that she hurt her finger.
I got that call during my doctor’s appointment.
As soon as I hung up, I postponed my appointment and frantically ran to her school.
Worrying about my child, I forgot how sick I was.
Before even asking how my child was, I hugged her and cried.
While getting her finger treated, she was in so much pain that she trembled her whole body and grabbed my hand tightly.
It was heart-rending.
I wish I could be hurt instead of her, because it wasn’t easy for me to see my child in pain.
After I was relieved when her treatment was finished, I noticed that my whole body was all in sweat, and my face was covered with tears.
Wiping my trace of tears, I thought of my Heavenly Mother.
When I was in pain, Heavenly Mother must have felt much more pain than the pain that I had to go through.
I earnestly give thanks for Her infinite love.

It was only when some daughter become a mother that she find out how deep her mother's love was.
Likewise, Heavenly mother's love is immesurable as she left her glory of heaven and came this earth for us, her children.  The greatest love is Heavenly Mohter's love in whole universe.

The World Mission Society Church of God is Zion where we celebrate the feasts of the new covenant

The Bible prophesies that the last place of salvation is Zion (Micah 4:1; Revelation 14:1.) Therefore, each church insists that it’s Zion while its doctrines vary between individual churches. Where is Zion the Bible testifies about? Zion was originally a name of place in the area of Palestine. Actually, there are people who go to Zion in Palestine with the hope of salvation. However, in the age of the new covenant, Zion does not refer to a limited area of Palestine.

Look upon Zion, the city of our festivals [the city where we celebrate our religious festivals: GNT]; your eyes will see Jerusalem, a peaceful abode, a tent that will not be moved; its stakes will never be pulled up, nor any of its ropes broken. (Isaiah 33:20)

Prophetically, Zion is the place where we celebrate the feasts of God. In the time of the Old Testament, the sacrifices were offered to God in the earthly Jerusalem. Therefore, Zion where there was the earthly Jerusalem was the place of feasts. However, the center of the feasts of the new covenant is the heavenly Jerusalem.

But you have come to Mount Zion, to the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of the living God. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly (Hebrews 12:22)

Jesus also made clear that we will not worship God in the earthly Jerusalem in the age of the new covenant.

“… Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.” Jesus declared, “Believe me, woman, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. (John 4:20-21)

Then, where is Zion in the age of the new covenant? In the Old Testament, Zion was the place where the feasts of the old covenant were celebrated. Therefore, in the time of the new covenant, Zion is the place where the feasts of the new covenant are observed. Jesus fulfilled the feasts of the old covenant to the feasts of the new covenant through His sacrifice on a cross. In order to complete, He changed the Passover of the old covenant (when the Passover lamb was sacrificed) to the Passover of the new covenant (when we eat and drink the flesh and blood of Jesus who was the reality of the lamb of the old covenant.) Jesus fulfilled the prophecy of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the feast of affliction, through the torture of the cross. And He has been raised from the dead and became the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep, fulfilling the Day of Firstfruits. Like this, Jesus fulfilled all prophecies of the seven feasts of three times comprising of the Passover, the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Day of Firstfruits, the Feast of Weeks, the Feast of Trumpets, the Day of Atonement and the Feast of Tabernacles, and newly established them as the days of celebrating the Redemption Work of Christ.

Churches which do not celebrate the feasts of God as evidenced by the Bible are not Zion. The church that observes the feasts of the new covenant made by Jesus is Zion. The World Mission Society Church of God is the only church that celebrates the seven feasts of three times in accordance with the regulations of the new covenant in the world. Then, isn’t it so clear which church is Zion?

The world of the righteous and the world of sinners

All the members of World Mission Society Church of God receive the teachings of Heavenly Mother. Therefore they strive to put into practice as Heavenly Mother set an example according to the bible. I think this story make you understand how the bible say.

Home of the righteous and home of sinners
What is the difference between the world of the righteous and the world of sinners?
In the world of the righteous, there is no word 'sorry.' But in the world of sinners we can frequently hear these words-'I'm sorry,' 'It's my fault.'
Which world do you want to live in-the world of the righteous or the world of sinners?
Here, the world of the righteous does not mean the place where the true righteous people live-that is the world possible only in heaven. There are so many people who regard themselves as the righteous in this world. So the world of the righteous I mentioned here is the world where those claiming to be righteous live. What about the world such people live in?
Long ago, there was a family whose members all claimed to be righteous. One day, the father bought an expensive ceramic ware, and treasured it. After several days, his son was playing in the room, and touched the ware on the table and it was broken into pieces. His grandmother who saw it nearby got mad with anger and said, "You urchin, did I not tell you to play outdoors? Look what happened after you ignored what I said and played in the room!" When she scolded her grandson and switched him with a cane, her daughter-in-law heard the noise and came rushing into the room.
Then she said to her mother-in-law, "Why were you making a fuss over a little one? Would that happen if you took good care of him?" "Why were you shouting at me? You are not worthy to say that." Finally they came to quarrel with each other. When her husband came home from work and heard that his treasured ware was broken and there was a quarrel because of it, he became angry and shouted, "Damn it! Get out of here, all of you!"
'I am not to blame. It's all your fault.' This is the way of thinking in the world of the righteous. There are constant quarrels and troubles in that world, for all claim to be the righteous, not sinners.
But, how about a family whose members all claim to be sinners in the same situation? One day, the father bought an expensive porcelain, and his child broke it into pieces while he was playing in the room. His grandmother came running, "Oh, dear! Are you okay?" And she soothed her grandson, saying, "That happened after I neglected looking after you.
It is my fault. I should have told you to be careful beforehand." Her daughter-in-law heard the smash of the porcelain and came into the room, and she said to her mother-in-law, "Sorry, mother. Yesterday I found the porcelain slanting a little, and I thought to put it right later. But I forgot and it resulted in …. It is my fault." Her husband, watching it beside them, said, "I made my family trouble over this matter. It was my fault. It would not have happened if I had not bought it. It is I that am to blame." Thus, though the porcelain was broken, this family became more united because of it.
What about you? Which world do you want to live in-the world of the righteous or the world of sinners?

Jesus came to call sinners
Jesus said that He came not to call the righteous, but sinners.

Matt. 9:13 "But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."

In the world of the righteous, people say: "I am not to blame. This happened because of your fault." But in the world of sinners, they say: "This might not have happened if I had cared a little more. It is all my fault. I'm so sorry. Forgive me."
'I am not wrong. The fault lies only with you.' This causes a trouble in the church and discord between its members. When we realize that we are sinners and think-'I am to blame for all; it happened because of me,' then our faith becomes made complete and we can do the will of God. When we live a life of sinners, we can save many souls by the will of God who came to call sinners.

Matt. 3:1-2 In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the Desert of Judea
and saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near."

Matt. 4:17 From that time on Jesus began to preach, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near."

It is sinners who need to repent. If we eagerly hope for heaven, we should know that we are sinners. And not only the original sin which we committed in heaven but also all the sins we committed in this world by pretending to be righteous, we must repent.
God has told us to repent because the kingdom of heaven is near. In the new year, let's repent by dismissing it from our thought that we are the righteous.

Corinthians Chapter 13

Growing up as the only child, I received love from all of my family; grandparents, parents, aunts, and uncles.

Since I didn't know how to give love and was just familiar receiving it, it was still the same for me in Zion.

Even though I realized Heavenly Father and Mother’s love, I was a sinner who thought that Their love was reasonable.

Mother always emphasizes to ‘give love’.

It wasn't easy to put in my heart, the heaven’s love that I forgot, the love that Heavenly Mother continuously gives us.

I recently heard general pastor’s sermon about Mother’s love.

Reading Corinthians chapter 13 verses 4 to 7, I questioned myself when I could give this kind of love.

When general pastor said that this love is ‘the love that comes from Mother,’ my mind became vacant.

Corinthians chapter 13 abridged into one word:

‘Mother.’

Even when I didn't follow complaining that, ‘I can’t do it,’ ‘it is too difficult,’ ‘how can I give this kind of love,’ Mother was giving me that love that was difficult for me.

Mother was always giving this extremely boundless love, the love that considers more of Her children instead of Herself.

Mother, I now realize that You are the true nature of love.

Please forgive this arrogant and foolish sinner. Please let me be the child resembling Mother’s love, and be the one who fully spreads Mother’s love in this whole world.

I will throw away my selfish self, and deliver Mother’s love that this world does not contain.

The Meaning of the Sacrifice of the Passover[WMSCOG]

As the Bible says that faith is being sure of what we hope for, the people of Zion believe firmly in the prophecy and earnestly hope for the kingdom of God, and they are preaching the glory of Mother throughout the whole world. As a result, many souls are now coming back to Zion.
If we are proud of our Father and Mother and display Their glory, They will greatly bless us and allow us to achieve wonderful results. Now, let's take some time to think about the meaning of the sacrifice of the Passover and the flesh and blood of God given to us.

A mother saved her child with her own blood
There was a great earthquake in Russia, and a whole town was laid in ruins. At that time, a mother and her baby were buried alive under the rubble for several days. The mother lost consciousness when the building collapsed. At the cry of her baby, she barely recovered consciousness. Then she found out that the whole town had become a town of death and that she and her baby were buried under the ruins caused by the earthquake. She tried to breast-feed her crying baby, but the milk didn't come out well because she hadn't eaten or drunk anything, not even a sip of water, for several days. It was obvious that if they were not rescued, they would lose their lives.
The mother decided to do something extreme in order to keep her baby alive until a rescue squad arrived. She took a sharp stone, cut off part of her finger and let her baby drink the blood dripping from her finger.
After a while, a relief squad arrived to save the mother and her baby. Unfortunately, the mother had already died, but her baby who was sucking her finger was still alive and was safely rescued.
To save her baby, the mother tore her own flesh and let her child drink the blood flowing from it. It was an act of her extreme love to save her child.
Through this real story, we come to understand God's love for us. Like the mother, God gave us, who were destined to die, His flesh to eat and His blood to drink in order to grant us the forgiveness of sins and lead us to eternal life and salvation. Whenever we eat the Passover bread representing Christ's flesh and drink the Passover wine symbolizing His blood, we should not only rejoice in having eternal life but remember the holy love of our Father and Mother who saved our lives.

Passover, the love of God who gave His children His own flesh and blood
The child in the above story was drinking the blood dripping from his mother's finger, which was cut off, to satisfy his hunger. He was completely unaware of the fact that it was the blood of his mother who sacrificed her own life to save him. If we were previously just like this child, we should now think of God's love and sacrifice contained in the Passover.
Jn 6:53-57 『Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him. Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me."』
God has made a precious promise to mankind that whoever eats Jesus' flesh and drinks His blood will have eternal life, while the person who does not eat His flesh or drink His blood has no life in him. To save us His children, who were sinners from heaven, God didn't even hesitate to die for us on the cross. Through the sacrifice of God, we have received salvation and eternal life.
Just as the mother saved her child with the blood flowing from her finger at the critical moment, our Father and Mother gave Their flesh to eat and Their blood to drink in order to save us. They willingly gave us Themselves for Their children since it was the only way to save the sinners who were destined to die eternally.
Mt 26:17-19, 26-28 『". . . The Teacher says: My appointed time is near. I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your house.' " So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover . . . While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, "Take and eat; this is my body. Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you." This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins."』
The Passover bread and wine are given to mankind as the symbols of Christ's flesh and blood, having the promise of eternal life. It is God's sacrifice and love that we can ultimately discover through the Passover.
We are happy that we have eternal life by keeping the covenant of God, but we feel so sorry towards Father and Mother because They have sacrificed Themselves to give us eternal life. It is not God's will just to feel sorry or guilty. First, we should keep in mind how much our Father and Mother have suffered to save us and always give thanks to Them for Their grace. And we should willingly give ourselves to saving the whole world, just as our Father and Mother gave Themselves up for our salvation, so that we will enhance the value of the holy sacrifice of Father and Mother.

"Do this in remembrance of me"
The Passover is a feast that every member of the heavenly family must keep. The Apostle Paul emphasized that we should remember and celebrate the Passover and also proclaim it until Christ comes again.
1 Co 11:23-26 『For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me." In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me." For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.』
Christ wanted His children to remember the sacrifice of Father and Mother whenever they eat the Passover bread and drink the Passover wine; and before His ascension, He told them to proclaim His death by doing that until He comes. Through the Passover of the new covenant, we can discover God's infinite love for us and His great sacrifice that He has made to save us for 6,000 years. So, Jesus said that the Passover was the new covenant (Lk 22:20), and the Bible states that through the new covenant we have become God's heirs who will inherit the kingdom of God. Only those who understand the holy sacrifice and love of Father and Mother are worthy to be Their children and inherit the kingdom of heaven.
This beautiful story of the new covenant is ours alone, so not everyone can share it. There is no Passover in spiritual Babylon because the story of the Passover is not theirs. They abolished the Passover because it was a meaningless day for them. The Passover is the everlasting covenant established by God and a day to commemorate the sacrifice of the heavenly Father and Mother for Their children's salvation. Nevertheless, they insist that there is no need to keep the Passover. This is proof that they do not belong to the heavenly family.
However, it is a very important day for us, the heavenly family members. So in Zion we keep the Passover holy in remembrance of the love and sacrifice of our Father and Mother.

As God has loved us
God is love. Everything done by God, every purpose and will of God, has come through His love. The Passover is a feast that God has established through His love to give us life.
So, Jesus said at the Passover, "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another." Just as the mother saved her child by shedding her own blood in the aforesaid true story, God saved us by tearing His flesh and shedding His blood. As God loved us, so we should love one another.
1 Jn 4:7-11 『Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him . . . Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.』
1 Jn 4:16-21 『And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him . . . If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother.』
Love comes from God our Father and God our Mother. Everything done by God has come through His love. Since He loves us, He has been waiting for us to be purified like pure gold refined in a furnace and become worthy to enter the kingdom of heaven, sometimes using discipline to correct us, sometimes shedding tears for us, sometimes rejoicing, sometimes groaning, only caring for our future and worrying that we may give in to the temptations of the devil and lose the eternal kingdom of heaven.
Therefore, we also ought to love one another with the heart of God. If we do not love one another, it proves that we still understand only the literal meaning of the Passover, viewing it merely as a ceremony of eating bread and drinking wine. In this situation God would say to us, "I gave you My own flesh and blood, so that you have gained life. Then, why can't you sacrifice for one another?"
Looking forward to the everlasting kingdom of heaven, we should faithfully follow the teachings of our Father and Mother. We should not grumble against each other or envy each other: If one achieves something, we need to share in his joy; if one faces difficulties, we need to encourage and comfort him. Without unity, the gospel work cannot be fulfilled. If we preach the gospel with the holy sacrifice and love that God has shown us, God's glorious work will be quickly accomplished.

Faith that acknowledges Father and Mother and boasts about Them
How can we not boast about God who has shown us the example of the holy sacrifice? Why are we hesitating to proclaim our Father and Mother who are so wonderful? We shall tell all the people of the earth about the gracious sacrifice and love of our Father and Mother and invite them to participate in the blood of Their sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins and salvation.
We should proclaim more proudly our Father and Mother who have made us what we are today through Their love. We believe in Mother not just because the Bible testifies about Her, but because She is our heavenly Mother who gave us Her flesh to eat and Her blood to drink to save us from sin. That is why we long for Her love and sacrifice and follow Her wherever She goes, as Her children, isn't it?
If we, God's children, have understood the sacrifice of our Father and Mother, we shall boldly proclaim Their names throughout the world. We should preach Jerusalem Mother to all people around the world, so that they may repent of their sins and come back into the arms of Jerusalem Mother. This is most pleasing to our Father.
1 Jn 4:13-15 『. . . If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God.』
About 2,000 years ago, God's people proved their faith in Jesus by acknowledging Him. In this age, however, we are required to have faith in the Spirit and the Bride and proclaim Them to all the people with gladness. Our Father and Mother willingly sacrificed Their lives for our salvation. Their children, who have understood Their sacrificial love for them, are now proudly telling the whole world about the goodness of Their Parents.
What if one is ashamed of his parents and tries to conceal things about them? They will not blame or punish him for that, but will feel sad. On the contrary, if a child is proud of his parents, saying, "My dad and mom are number one," how pleased will they be? Thinking about how our earthly parents feel, we can understand the heart of our heavenly Parents.
Now, God's children are proudly proclaiming the heavenly Father and Mother, and so many people around the world are coming to Zion to meet Father and Mother according to the prophecies. When we see this unparalleled amazing work of salvation occur every day, we feel that our heavenly Father opens all the doors for preaching, being pleased with our efforts.
God is love, so He has established the Passover of the new covenant to save His children. Now we celebrate the Passover every year; whenever we partake of the bread and wine, we should remember that the bread is God's flesh torn for us and the wine is His blood shed for us. Through the Passover, let us engrave again in our hearts the sacrifice of our Father and Mother and give thanks to Them for Their grace; let's put the love of God into action and proclaim the glory of our Father and Mother.
We must not become the foolish ones who say, "Lord, Lord, open the door for us!" after the door is shut. I hope all our brothers and sisters in Zion will do their best to preach the new covenant and confidently proclaim Jerusalem Mother, who is the reality of the new covenant, so that we will live a life that is pleasing and glorifying to our Father and Mother. May God bless you all with much good fruit!

Local Clean-up Clears Rubbish from Fatima - World Mission Society Church of God

source: http://english.watv.org/press/content.asp?idx=23723&page=1

Since it started almost 4 years ago by member of the Church of God, it's been a huge success. The global and local cleanup's hae been a regular sight in and around. the city and countries, and recently in the Dublin 8.
On Sunday 10th Novermember I went along to one of these cleanup's that was happening in my area. St. James walk that site in between Fatima Luas and the back of St. James Hospital was the chose area for this clean up. Once I arrived I was given a high visibility vest, a pair of gloves, a blue plastic DCC rubbish bag, and a picker, I joined a group who were already at work and we worked our way towards Rialto Luas stop, picking up litter that was either dumped or got caught in the bushes that was blowing in the wind.

The group was headed by a Pastor by the name of Daniel, who informed me all the people who were out on Sunday were members of the church of God, and they liked to be called brothers, or sisters.
I was a bit sadden to be told I was the only local who came out to help clean our area, as I have heard on numerous occasions that people were fed up with the rubbish been dumped illegally in our area, but solider on I did with the force of about 40 other members.  I was also informed this was part of the global cleanup and in recent times the church of god members have been in dated with awards.

They have received awards from the US called "The President's Volunteer Service Award" on behalf of Barrack Obama, and New Zealand, by Christchurch City Council, award from the US Congressman, and from The Philippines, on behalf City Social Services and Department, and recently from the DublinCity Council (DCC).

On Sundays clean up the DCC did give them rubbish bags, and when we ran out of bags there were at least 50 bags filled and ready to be collected by the council on Monday 11th November at the arranged site.

The Church of God are situated here in our wonderful city of Dublin, over at 126 Block A, Smithfield in Dublin 7.  They meet every weekend from 8am to 9pm, all members of the public are welcome to drop in, and you can also phone Daniel on 085-240-1954 to find out more about the Church of God or to see what area, or forward your area for a cleanup.

Church Members Spruce Up Grounds, Interior of Senior Center
Though it was a rainy day, World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) members came to DeKalb County’s Bruce Strret/East DeKalb Senior Center in Lithonia Aril 28 to give the venter’s grounds as spring spruce up. WMSCOG brought more than 100 volunteers from its Norcross location to help improve the look and feel of the senior center, which has been a part of the community for almost half a century.
The center is operated by the DeKalb County Office of Senior Affairs and managed by Senior Connections. Seniors are offered classes, activities, a hot lunch and wellness programs Monday through Friday.
Improvements around the front of the building included sanding and painting the center’s sign, landscaping with flowers and bushes, painting benches, and general clean up. Work was also done in the center’s interior.
Mayor Deborah Jackson came out to greet the volunteers and thank them on behalf of the people of Lithonia.
Debora Furtado, chief executive officer of Senior Connections said the WMSCOG volunteers created “a wonderful outdoor space for the Lithonia seniors to enjoy all year. We are grateful for their caring efforts.”

Super Community Blood Drive- World Mission Society Church of God

Yellow Shirts Take Over Mega Blood Drive

Yellow is becoming one of New Jersey’s brightest and most frequently seen colors! Recently, even Metlife Stadium welcomed 200 members from the World Mission Society Church of God donating blood in their yellow shirts at the Super Bowl Mega Blood Drive on October 6, 2013.  The State Department of Health and the Super Bowl Host Committee joined hands for a big cause and the Church of God came from everywhere to support it.   The Metlife Stadium parking lot was a sea of yellow as members filled blood donation buses from early morning until late afternoon. The mission on the volunteers’ minds: save three lives with each donation.
This mega blood drive was organized to address New Jersey’s dire need to increase its low blood supply. Only 3.6% of New Jersey residents donate blood, which pales in comparison to the national standard of 5%. Church of God members were compelled to unite and take action to help the community. Church of God volunteers drove from New Hampshire, Boston, Connecticut, Philadelphia, Rhode Island, Maryland, Washington D.C., Central Jersey, South Jersey and Manhattan to give life-saving blood.
According to a donor service staff member, “If it [weren't] for you guys, this would not have been a mega blood drive. You guys in your yellow shirts really saved the day!”
The volunteers’ motivation to donate blood stems from the teachings of Christ Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother. “I willingly donate blood hoping that I can save as many lives as possible. To me, this is the least that I can do to show others the love God has showed me. God have me His blood through the Passover so that I can receive eternal life. Hopefully through this, others will also understand the importance of the Passover.”

[USA] AMSTERDAM NURSING HOME VISIT_World Mission Society Church of God

World Mission Society Church of God in USA
Members from the Church of God[WMSCOG] were a bit more yellow than normal when they swooped into the Amsterdam Nursing Home to deliver the love of Heavenly Mother, New Jerusalem.
In just an hour, the Upper West Side nursing home awoke with excitement as members filled the home with their bright smiles, yellow shirts and this time, yellow scarves.
Interacting with the residents, members from World Mission Society Church of God held performances, played bingo and enjoyed a video to put a smile on the faces of all the residents who attended.
Catering to the residents’ taste, the members had a tap dance performance and multiple singing performances with songs from the era the residents grew up in. “I Will Survive” was a hit to many residents as they danced, smiled and felt relieved at the sound of the tune.
The end of the event got even brighter when the members presented each resident with the gift of a yellow pashmina scarf, a thank you to the residents for allowing the members to share the love of God the Mother with them.
